Introduction
David Haith is a BAFTA Award winning Creative Director. He has been actively involved in designing and producing outstanding 3D computer animation since the mid 1980s. Credits on his impressive showreel include presentation sequences for the 1987 General Election and real time graphics for the Whitbread Around The World Yacht Race in 1989.
In 1998 he was responsible for the design and production of over 20 minutes of MRI based animation for the BBC documentary "The Human Body". This project has won many awards around the world and is regarded as the definitive TV work on the subject. The extraordinary 3D sequences showing the inside of the human body were only achieved through complex technical problem solving and highly creative design skills.
David received both RTS and BAFTA Awards for this work. He then produced 50 minutes of computer animation for the BBC documentary "The Planets", which received high critical praise.
Following this, david concentrated his efforts in the online marketplace, and developed novel ideas and technology for both consumers and game players.
Recent work has been for the US market and this includes 6 minutes of visual FX animation for the Discovery Channel, and a website with 3D anatomy content, illustrating the effects of smoking on the body, for the US government's Center for Disease Control.
David excels on projects with a high technical requirement, and is adept at using 3D animation tools such as Maya, Houdini and Renderman, to execute the design and production of complex sequences, that impart scientific information to the viewer.
